New World MMO Beginners Guide

This article was originally published on MmoGah.

In order to help you be better prepared for the arrival of New World, MmoGah would like to share with you some important things you need to know along with a couple of valuable tips. Let's get into it.

Questing and Character Leveling

A Tip

This is the core of the game. But before we dive into questing, I want to give you the most important tip of the game: spawn dying.

For example, you've taken a handful of quests that are a few kilometers outside of town, and you completed them, and now you need to spend the next 15 minutes walking back to town. Instead, you can press the escape game menu to respawn, then your character will die, and it will give you the option to spawn back at the nearest settlement, where you can hand in your quests.

image

Of course, there is a consequence for this, and that is gear durability damage. But in the early stages of the game, you'll be changing gear so often, so it isn't worth worrying about, and the time you'll save by respawning can easily surpass this negative.

Quest

But that little tip aside, questing itself can be broadly broken down into four parts: Main Storyline Quests, Side Quests, Faction Missions, and Town Projects.

Main Storyline Quests

The Main Storyline Quests will only be available at set level milestones and can give some great XP rates. It certainly won't be enough to carry you through these different milestones, and you're never going to be getting to level 60 that way. So you need to be supplementing your leveling with Side Quests.

image

Side Quests

When you first spawn in New World, you're going to end up in one of the four regions: First Light, Windsward, Monarch's Bluffs, or Everfall. Each region is fine for the starting quests. You will do all the quests on the beach, and you'll come at about level 10 on the other side. But once you get stuck into some of the region Side Quests, unless you're running in a group, you may find some of them a little bit difficult in Everfall or Monarch's because these are higher-level regions with mobs at 25, 26, 27. So instead, I'd recommend you fall back to First Light or Windsward. Tackle some of the Side Quests there until you get to a slightly higher level. In reality, you're going to be doing almost all the Side Quests in the four starting regions, so there's no loss to falling back to doing this.

Town Projects

Once you reach level 25 around, you're going to be looking to move on to the next region, and that is Brightwood, which leaves us with Town Projects and Faction Missions. I basically run on the principle with Town Projects that I always accept all the basic stuff, like killing ten rabbits, hunting five turkeys, which can easily be done anywhere in New World. It's easy to run along and throw a random ax at a rabbit as you run by. You just slowly complete these quests. They aren't going to give you huge mats XP. But if it doesn't really cost you anything in terms of extra time, they are sure worth accepting and completing as you run through the game.

Faction Missions

Faction Missions will be found at your specific faction representative depending on if you join Marauders, Syndicate, or Covenant. But broadly speaking, I only tend to pick these missions up if they are sort of along my route.

image

The XP gain is just simply not good enough for me to go out of my way to get these. Obviously, if you take a PvP mission, it will require you to be flagged for the duration of that mission, so you could be engaged by another player.

image

But you also get the benefit of getting faction currency that you can spend in the faction store for some cool gear. And you never know if you're good at PvP. You might actually pick up a kill on another player, and if that player had been PvP flagged for a reasonably decent period of time, you'd be getting a good amount of XP from securing that kill as well.

Territory Standing

For every quest you do, item you craft, or monster you vanquish, you'll be gaining a small amount of Territory Standing. Every time you level up, you will get the option to pick among a variety of rewards. Unless it's my main Hub Town, I would always be tempted to pick the XP gain and the standing gain, but more importantly than that, when you go up a Territory Standing level, you'll be gaining a boatload of experience. It might only start at around 700, but it gets far higher as you get to the higher Territory Standing levels. For that reason, I tend to focus any crafting or refining or anything like that on one town. This enables me to increase one area's Territory Standing level over and above the others and gain those higher EXP amounts. I'm not using it for the Territory Standing level. I'm using it to gain experience and level mechanics whilst I pick experience gain and standing gain for most regions. For my Hub Town, I'd be picking storage and gathering speed.

Gear, Armor, Weapons

Weapons

There are a large plethora of different weapons in the world to pick from, and since the game has a classless system, you can pretty easily swap and pick between them. I'm personally planning to run hatchet and grey tax on my loadout, but there are a large number of workable combinations. The weapons themselves can be found or crafted in a variety of different rarity levels, with higher rarity levels resulting in a larger amount of extra modifiers such as fire damage or increased durability. These rarity levels can be found at any weapon tier. However, you will need to meet certain level requirements to use different tiers. So, for example, tier 2 is level 1 to 19, tier 3 is 22 to 39, tier 4 is 40 to 59, and then you need to be max level 50 to equip tier 5 gear.

image

This equipment can then be equipped on slots in your loadout. And you can run with two different weapons equipped on your character as well as five separate armor pieces - helmet, chest, gloves, trousers, and boots. You can mix and match armor types and weights. For example, you can wear a heavy helmet and light boots. However, all of this affects your armor encumberment weight, which has three different stages - light, medium, and heavy.

Armor

Each stage has its benefit and effects.

Light Armor

Light armor gets a large and rapid dodge roll plus a 20 percent damage bonus.

Medium Armor

In the medium armor state, your dodge becomes more of a hop, and you only get a 10 percent damage buff, but you also get a 10 percent longer crowd control buff.

Heavy Armor

Finally, in the heavy armor state, your dodge becomes more of a slow sidestep. You get 15 percent increased block stability and 20 percent longer crowd control, but you no longer get any damage buff. So it does all slightly depend on what style of play you want to go for. A Tank will obviously want to be heavy armor for the extra shield and block stability, but the DPS might be looking to be more light on medium armor.

You're also going to be able to equip three ancillary slots for Earrings Amulet, and a Ring, all of which can be used to buffer your attributes.

image

You could also equip three bag slots, which will greatly increase your carrying weight before you become over-encumbered, which is very easy to do. You can choose town storage if you get a little bit too giddy with the gathering side of things. This is like your warehouse, where you can dump all of your spare or unused crafting materials and items. But remember that each town has its own storage shed. The stuff that you deposited in Windsward would be only available from the Windsward storage shed.

Weapon and Weapon Mastery

The game currently has 11 weapons to pick from. These are Sword, Rapier, Hatchet, Spear, Great Axe, War Hammer, Bow, Musket, Fire Staff, Life Staff, and Ice Gauntlet.

image

Each of them is going to have two options to pick from on the weapon mastery tree, and it's going to be possible to earn a total of 20 mascot points per weapon. So you're required to pick basically one of the two mastery trees or a hybrid of two. You're never going to be able to have both of them because you can never get more than 20 weapon mastery points. But remember, plan out what weapons you want to use and how you want the weapon to work for you. I also discovered that you could reset your attribute points. It's free initially, and then it costs New World Coins after that.

image

Crafting

There will be many different types of players here once New World kicks off. Some of you will be here for PvP; some will be here for group activities on the PvE side of things, or you are more likely to be crafting-orientated. If you are interested in crafting, you need to get that initial grind to at least level 30 or 40 out of the way. Not only does this give you access to star metal harvesting tools at level 35, which is going to make your gathering so much quicker, but it also allows you to get high enough level to gather rarer resource sites without getting sort of overwhelmed and killed by the local monsters. And this is not to say that you can't start working on a few of your skills along the way. I think this is particularly true for some of the gathering skills. Currently, New World has Logging, Mining, Harvesting, and Skinning as gathering skills.

image

And I would probably personally store some resources. You can use them to start leveling up some of your endgame crafting skills, Weaponsmithing, Armoring, Engineering, Jewelcrafting, Arcana, Cooking, or Furnishing. But remember that leveling up these higher-tier crafting skills does take longer in effect, so you need to get a bit of an idea of which skill you want to specialize in, particularly if you're going to be playing with the guild during the game. And of course, if you just want a really chill game where you don't really care about efficiency at all, then that's fine. Just go for it. But if you're aiming to kind of level up with any degree of speed, then do not get too caught up grinding these crafting skills right from the off because they can be done so much quicker once you've got a few levels under your belt.

The above content is what I think the most important and useful points about New World. I hope these can help you get a good and detailed understanding of the game before it starts. If you want to learn about other aspects, you can check Evo Loz Gaming's video. Most of the content in this article also comes from his videos.

Finally, I guess you will need a lot of NW Coins when the game starts because these can help you quickly learn skills and upgrade. You can come to our website to buy New World Coins at that time.

Things We Should Know Before New World Open Beta

This article was originally published on MmoGah

According to the announcement of Amazon Games at Gamescom's Opening Night Live on Wednesday, their upcoming PC MMO, New World, is getting an open beta from September 9 to September 12, ahead of its September 28 release date.

After just going through the New World closed beta, we may have a general understanding of the game. Then what will the upcoming open beta bring us this time? What should we know before the test? MmoGah will introduce you to some details, and I hope these can be helpful.

Background

They found server issues and over-population problems during closed beta, which result in long queue time, preventing some players from being able to experience the danger and beauty found in Aeternum. So in order to ensure that everyone has a chance to experience New World ahead of their September 28 launch, Amazon will hold an open beta test. Steam's new Playtest feature will be used in this open beta test, allowing all interested players in supported regions to request access to the test for free. Meanwhile, North American servers, European servers, Australian servers, and South American servers will be available.

The public beta will give players a chance to check out New World before the release of the game.  It also makes the developer stress test the servers. So it is clear that there will undoubtedly be a large influx of players this time.

There is also a new trailer featuring the supernatural world of New World.

New World Open Beta Release Time

Open beta will begin on September 9 at 7:00 AM PT (2:00 PM UTC) and end on September 12 at 11:59 PM PT (6:59 AM UTC). If you are interested in it, you can request access beginning on September 8 at 7:00 AM PT (2:00 PM UTC).

How to Access New World Open Beta?

You need to wait until the day before the event starts (September 8, 2021, at 7 AM PT / 3 PM BST. ) in order to access the MMO open beta. Then you need to request access by heading to the official New World Steam page, where an option to join in will appear.

So, if you want to play the beta in September, make sure to head on over to the Steam store page and request access by finding the option to request access using the Steam Playtest tool. This way allows you to play the game shortly after access has been granted to your Steam account.

When you have access, you are able to experience everything there is to do in New World in a short amount of time since the beta will end in three days. During this time, you could craft weapons and armor using the in-depth crafting system, level skills, and farm monsters.

What Can We Do in New World Open Beta?

It is best to use the beta as a way to explore many of the features that will be in the full release, such as PvE, crafting, and many PvP elements and events players can take part in. At the same time, make sure to play around with the resource gathering because it is one of the game's strongest points.

image

At the same time, you can also experience the endgame content known as expeditions, where players can take on large dungeons for rare loot and more.

New World System Requirements for PC

Before signing up as a New World tester or pre-purchasing a copy of the game, you'll need to make sure your hardware stacks up to the MMO's minimum system requirements. These are all the components when you want to run New World's beta (and the full game) on your PC:

Minimum System Requirements

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

OS: Windows® 10 64-bit

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2400 / AMD CPU with 4 physical cores @ 3Ghz

Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 or better

DirectX: Version 12

Network: Broadband Internet connection

Storage: 35 GB available space

Additional Notes: Internet connection required to play, offers in-game purchases

Recommended System Requirements

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

OS: Windows® 10 64-bit

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2600K / AMD Ryzen 5 1400

Memory: 16 GB RAM

Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970 / AMD Radeon R9 390X or better

DirectX: Version 12

Network: Broadband Internet connection

Storage: 35 GB available space

Additional Notes: Internet connection required to play, offers in-game purchases

Thankfully, you don't need a top-of-the-line PC in order to meet the recommended system requirements for New World, so if your machine is a few years old or just not that powerful, you should (hopefully) be able to run the game without issue.

Warm Reminder

It's worth noting that the developer warned on the open beta FAQ page that there might be some queue times during the beta test. And the progress made in open beta will not continue to the full game. So ultimately, what happens in beta stays in beta, but it's a good chance to experiment with some builds and features of the game before launch.

In the End

Apart from all that we've mentioned above, you can find more through checking New World official website. Don't hesitate to join the game, and you will find many treasures and surprises on this fantasy island. Last but not least, if you want to buy New World Coins, our website will sell them once the game begins. We will often compare our peers to set the appropriate price.

Is New World Worth Playing

This article was originally published on MmoGah.

After experiencing the Closed Beta, we may have a new perspective on New World. Some players are very fascinated by this dreamy, magical, and fascinating world, while others may also find some aspects that can be improved afterwards. Is New World worth playing? The following is what a real player – Fextralife feels after experiencing the Closed Beta. Let's see what he would say. Combined with his views, we may get a rough idea of the answer to the question.

Quest

The PvE content of the game remains to be lackluster. That means the questing of the game never really picks up in any way. You're typically doing the same sorts of quests throughout the game. The main questline was pretty much uninteresting and not very story-driven, and there just wasn't a lot of inspiration in those quests.

Dungeons

Speaking about the dungeons themselves or the expeditions, I got to do five of them in total, and I got to do one endgame dungeon as I did manage to reach level cap at level 60. These are some of the most uninspired dungeons I have ever played in any MMO. Not only are the mechanics of them extremely straightforward in most cases, but also the enemies in themselves are reused from the landscape. For instance, the animals you fight or the enemies you face and corruptions scattered across the landscape are reused, and even in one of the endgame dungeons that we played, some of the enemies were the same as the first dungeon, but just with a different skin. So these almost feel like an afterthought to me for a game that wasn't initially even going to have any sort of PvE content. You could tell that it seems like they actually tried to throw something together to have some PvE content, and while it's fun to do, it gets old rather quickly.

PvP

For the PvP, I think this is where the game really shines, and this is where I had the most fun. I really enjoyed the open-world PvP, where you flag up in a town with either a group or by yourself, and you go outside of the town, and anyone else who's flagged you can fight. This means that if they are harvesting rocks or fishing or doing anything outside and they are flagged, you can attack them. You can also get into some weird situations where you're fighting somebody that you had no intention of fighting or sometimes you get into some larger battles where there are several people out, or 10, even 20 of people out fighting, and things can get crazy out there. And it's just a lot of fun whether you're in a large group with a lot of people or a small group, or you're out by yourself.

image

Community

Now what's really interesting about this game is that even though the game has issues with PvE and there are some issues with PvP, primarily with the battles, the game is very addicting. Once you play, you can't stop. What makes it fun is the community. It is a very sandbox-driven game, meaning that the people inside the game make up a large portion of the experience and content for you. This also means that the mileage you have to go will vary depending on who you play with and on which server you play. Suppose you're a solo player, somebody who wants to run on their own and craft materials and sell in the auction hall, and doesn't get involved in PvP and doesn't do dungeons, you're probably okay, and you can do whatever you want, but there isn't a lot of substance beyond logging in and having some social interactions with maybe a couple of people then going to crafting. So if you're somebody who's looking for more of an experience than just crafting as a solo player, I don't think this is the game for you.

There's a huge focus on joining a company, getting involved in battles, and finding people to do the expeditions with. There is no dungeon finder in this game, so as a solo player, you're going to have to reach out publicly to try and get someone to do dungeons with you in the old-fashioned way, and that might not be a problem for you, or maybe that's not something you want to get involved with. I don't think this is a great game for solo players. If you're a hardcore PvE player, and you love that endgame grind, doing endgame dungeons and game raids, this probably isn't the game for you. I could see this being something you might want to get involved in in the long run after they've added content, and tweak things around, but it's not there. Other games out there do this much better currently, and I don't think it's going to be something that will hold you if that's your intention. For someone who doesn't take their PvE too seriously and someone who isn't necessarily a hardcore PvP player, I think you will enjoy this game.

Jungle Warfare

And for the hardcore PvP players, this is definitely a game for them. You're going to be able to go outside towns, find people and gank them, form up and have battles outside of town, make your own battles, make your own rules out there, get other people involved from other factions, and create your own scenarios. There's jungle warfare which is really fun. You can crouch, crawl on the ground, and you can ambush people.

There are all kinds of things you can do. One of my favorite moments from the Beta was when we knew an ambush was going to come again at us. Everyone in our group just clear and cut the forest around us so we could see them coming, and then when they tried to ambush us, we just cut them down because we could see so far away, which was cool. So I feel like if you're a hardcore PvP player between the wars and the things you can do on the landscape, you'll really enjoy this game.

Landscape

There is a huge vast landscape, and I heard Beta was only 50% of the total landscape size. I don't know if that's completely accurate, but let's assume it's just the same size now and forget about that for a second. It's very easy to get lost in the landscape. It feels like a new frontier. You can set up a camp somewhere in the middle of nowhere and go fishing or farm animals for materials or farm some rare resources, then craft some cool piece of gear, or you can have fun with friends on the landscape just doing some corruptions or whatever. It's easy to just kind of get lost in the beauty of the world because they did a really good job there. And it leaves the world open with so much potential to develop things. Maybe they'll let you build buildings in the future or build your own farmstead, or maybe they'll create more content out in that vast world for you to do more things to interact with. They have a solid foundation in terms of the world and the universe for players to get lost in. It just feels like they didn't have a lot of time to fill it in, and that's the sort of thing that we hope to see after launch.

image

Connectivity

The problem also lies in its connectivity, which means that it was often a slideshow a lot of times. Living on the other side of the world for my server probably didn't help a little bit, but I heard complaints from nearly everyone involved, whether they were far away or not. Generally, what seemed to happen is that many people would converge on one of the territories, and everyone would look frozen for long periods. Therefore, I hope that this problem will be resolved when the game is released.

In the End

There are quite a few things that need to be fixed before the game is released. Many people out there can accept a certain amount of jank in their game and still enjoy it since there is a certain immersion and experience you can get in New World rather than other MMOs. And we believe that New World is very worthwhile for us to experience. Also, New World Twitter shows that the game release date will be postponed to September 28, 2021. When the game is released, New World Coins on our website will also be for sale. If you need it by then, feel free to visit our site at any time.

Some Important Information About New World

This post originally appeared on MmoGah.

For thousands of years, the mysterious island of Aeternum has been the source of fantastical legends. You need to move forward in this challenging world. Because of its mystery, we are full of expectations for the new century game. So today, MmoGah would like to share with you some important information about the new MMO game from Amazon Games Studios - New World.

Introduction

New World is an open world MMO PC game from Amazon Games. The demo has been thriving since its July 20 launch. And it hit 190,000 concurrent players on Steam in less than 48 hours. The game has 5 regions and 106 servers, known as the second World of WoW. It is bound to have a huge impact.

Date

The New World closed beta phase is from 7.19 to 8.2. The official release time is 8.31 on PC via Steam. They will publish some news from time to time on their official website and Twitter. You can follow them to browse the latest news.

Background

The game is set on a magical island called Aeternum in the 17th century, where "the fundamental laws of life and death don't apply." Players have been shipwrecked on this mysterious land and will make use of the rare material found there – 'Azoth' – to become increasingly powerful.

Gameplay

Classes

There are no classes in New World. Instead, you need to customize your build by choosing to specialize in particular weapons, increasing your attribute points when you level up, and investing time in trade skills.

Weapons

There are four categories of weapons in New World:

One-handed weapons (rapier, straight sword, hatchet)

Two-handed weapons (war hammer, great axe, spear)

Ranged weapons (musket, bow)

Magical weapons (ice gaunt, fire staff, life staff )

image

Combat

The combat is designed to have a high skill ceiling, requiring you to aim your hits and dodge or parry your foes' attacks. You can even beat higher-level players in PvP if you outplay them. Combat in New World is different from what you may be accustomed to in other MMOs. You need to aim each attack precisely, including projectiles. You must block, dodge, and watch your timing. So, this presumably will make PvP much more skill-based rather than state-based.

PvP

Early builds of New World allowed open PvP in which players can kill one another outside safe areas. So, it led to the player-killers being labeled as criminals. But, this wasn't enough to discourage high-level players from attacking low-level players repeatedly, so that Amazon Game Studios changed this to an opt-in, faction-based system. There are 'bonuses' for enabling your PvP flags, such as better experience and rewards. They've also added New World wars. There are 50v50 PvP clashes, as well as forts, which can be fought over and controlled by different factions. If your faction controls the nearby fort, you gain increased experience and influence in that area, and each fort imparts unique global buffs to the controlling faction.

Now, while the test for many of the game's systems have been finished, it is possible that they will receive substantial tweaks before the New World release date arrives.

How to Make New World Gold

Currency is necessary for survival, whether in-game or in real life. The New World Gold is no exception. Obtaining gold is essential in New World. So we will introduce you to several ways to make New World Gold.

Questing

When you complete quests, every quest you finish will give you some gold and experience points. This includes Faction Quests, Town Projects, and also Side Quests too. But some of the quests can be very time-consuming.

Selling Gear

When you go off on your adventures around New World, you are going to acquire plenty of loot. This can be rewarded from quests. For example, if you kill enemies or animals, you'll notice they drop loot. Then you'll want to replace your gear with the better loot you pick up eventually, so you can sell the loot you no longer need for some gold.

Crafting

The higher your skill level is, the better quality items you can craft so that you can make more gold. You can research which items you can craft and see what grabs your attention. Pay attention to the markets and watch the value. You can also reach out to other players who want to craft similar items. We believe this will be of help to you.

Gathering Resources

You can collect wood, stone, steel, and other materials and sell them for a nice profit. If you are overflowing with resources, you can make a good amount of gold. Rare resources are going to be sold on for a higher profit due to the rarity of the item. But the only drawback with this method is that you have to level up your character to get access to rare resources. You can also gather weapons, armor, tools and then sell them for profit. But, due to the plentiful nature of these items, they are going to command a lower price.

In the End

Our website has added New World Gold , which would be for sale once the game launched. Our shop has a good reputation, and the prices of our products are lower than the same industry most of the time. You will enjoy even greater discounts when you become our member. So, you can buy with confidence if you need it by then.

Lastly, we hope this information is helpful to you. We will keep sharing the latest Now World News in the coming days. If you are interested, stay tuned.
