LoL: A Short List of Things You Need to Know About Vex

This article originally appeared in MmoGah.

League of Legends Patch 11.19 is out for a few days. Do you enjoy Vex and know how to play? We listed a few things you need to know here regarding her abilities. Let's go!

1. Passive (Doom ’n Gloom)

Doom has a bar that fills up over time. Once full, her next basic spell will fear enemies' hit.

Gloom is a debuff that applies to nearby champs who dash, including Flashes and Blast Cone. The next auto or spell consumes Gloom to deal damage. There is no cooldown, so watch out, Yasuos.

2. E

Vex's E winds up slower the further away it is. It deals damage and also glooms everything it hits, including minions. Doom's CD is reduced by 25% per gloom champions hit and 10% on minions. This means you don't want to stack versus her.

3. Q

Her Q is a slow fat skill shot that gets skinnier and faster. Damage is the same for both parts.

4. W

Her W is an instant self-shield and AoE damage.

5. Ult

Her ult is similar to Kai’Sa's W in range but a bit slower and wider. Vex is unstoppable while traveling, and it resets on kills. Play it distance since her spells are slow and dodgeable. Vex is weak early due to long cooldowns and low damage. She easily dies to ganks as she has no escapes.

Riot has updated the new Yordle champion – Vex's abilities, along with the release date, Sep 22, on its official site.

Vex is a Mage champion, which means what she is doing is casting high-impact spells. Due to her kit, she is a nice counter to mobile champions and can deal a large amount of damage. Vex will be available at Patch 11.19, but ahead of that, let's take a look at her abilities first.

Passive - Doom 'n Gloom

Doom - Intermittently, Vex becomes empowered by Doom, causing her next basic ability to interrupt dashes and Fear enemies.
Gloom - Whenever nearby enemies dash or blink, they will become marked with Gloom. Vex's next basic attack against marked enemies detonates the mark, dealing bonus damage and refunding part of Doom's cooldown.

Q - Mistral Bolt

Vex launches a wave forward, dealing magic damage to enemies the Mistral Bolt passes through. After a brief delay, the wave accelerates but reduces width. Mistral Bolt detonates Gloom on any marked enemy it hits.

W - Personal Space

Vex gains a shield and emits a shockwave, dealing magic damage to enemies surrounding her. Personal Space detonates Gloom on any marked enemies it hits.

E - Looming Darkness

Shadow flies to a location, increasing in size as it travels. Once it arrives, Shadow will deal magic damage, slow, and mark enemies hit with Gloom.

R - Shadow Surge

Shadow flies forward, marks, and deals magic damage to the first enemy champion hit. Vex can then recast this ability to let Shadow pull her to the marked target, dealing additional magic damage.

If the marked target dies within a short period of time after taking damage from Shadow Surge, Vex can cast Shadow Surge again within a few seconds.

That’s all. Are you ready for the newcomer Vex and her rain clouds? But before that, there is still some time left; during this time, if you want to play ranked, stop wasting time leveling by yourself, MmoGah has various 30 or 30+ level LoL Accounts for sale, each of which contains enough BE for you to buy 20 champions to play ranked directly.
