PoE 3.15 Builds: Best League Starters

This post originally appeared on MmoGah.

PoE 3.15 is a big Meta shift. People are trying to figure out which builds are still good and which builds will be good. AsmodeusClips gives you a brief list of starter builds for the Path of Exile Expedition League in this guide.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfV6rlMOlS4

Best League Starters

Toxic Rain Pathfinder

Toxic Rain is an excellent league starter that wasn't affected by the nerfs.

Skeletons or Soulwrest

Minion builds will still be potent in PoE 3.15, especially Skeletons or Soulwrest Necromancer.

Traps

There will be various Trap builds that are still powerful in this league, especially Ice Trap.

Blazing Slavo Miner

Blazing Slavo Miner is still going to work excellently, but it has to be played a bit differently: if you are using a Tremor Rod, you have to put High-Impact Mine Support gem in it to lower the Mana cost further, and that will make the Reservation super low and still give you a bunch of damage when you're detonating long sequences.

Essence Drain + Contagion

Just as in every single league, ED Contagion is a viable league starter.

Ice Crash/Consecrated Path/Tectonic Slam

If you want to play a Melee skill, then Ice Crash, Consecrated Path, and Tectonic Slam are the ones that got the biggest buffs and are still solid skills for Melee characters.

Phys → Ele Conversion Spell Caster Carry + Aurabot

If you are looking for something that avoided all of the nerfs and still allows you to melt everything and run pretty fast, it has to be the dual setup of Carry with a spell that has physical damage converted to elemental damage and an Aurabot. With two players running this setup, you can melt everything effectively.

League Start Tips and Advice

1. Start with a Comfortable Build Instead of Trying to Guess What Will Be OP

The PoE 3.15 patch has many changes that break the Meta. Additionally, there are 19 new Skill Gems, and some will be viable and strong for many different builds. People will be trying the new builds a lot, so I recommend starting with a build that you enjoy or have experience with and then rerolling something that will be proven to be the strongest or the Meta after the first week two.

2. Practise Leveling and Setting Up Your Character

I also recommend practising a little bit, and this is a tip not only for this league start but also for every other league start in the future.

For new players, the ideal time to start playing a league is a little bit earlier before it launches. The reason is that you'll want to give yourself some time to learn how to level your character efficiently, which gems to get, how to gear your character, and what passives to take. You want to make the initial mistakes early on so that you will be able to fix those mistakes you made when the league starts. It will be a massive difference between your first character and the next character you made once you've learned some new tricks to set up your character.

3. Get a Good Loot Filter

In Path of Exile, Time Equals Currency. A Loot Filter can help you speed up your gameplay a lot and save you time.

4. My League Starters

Ice Trap Saboteur

Ice Trap Saboteur is shaping up to be an incredibly powerful build, and most of the support gems used in that skill evaded all the nerfs in 3.15. Ice Trap Saboteur is a very squishy build until you start getting some avoidance, and then you can freeze enemies. But this build makes a lot of boss encounters easy.

Ice Trap is a very comfortable skill to play once you get used to it, but it requires you to know what you're doing a little bit so that you don't die too much.

Soulwrest Summoner

If I weren't starting with Ice Trap Saboteur, I would probably start with the Soulwrest summoner. Though Blade Blast no longer Unnerves on Hit, and some gems were nerfed, the skill is still powerful, and Soulwrest is still a strong build in PoE 3.15.

PoE Royale returns with the Expedition League, and it will continue to appear on the weekends through this league. If you are interested in this game mode, please visit our PoE news page because there are some tips that help you win the PoE Battle Royale

Currency plays an important role in Path of Exile, and each currency item serves a specific function in the crafting and enhancement of a character's equipment. But earning currency can be time-consuming, and only those who can spend plenty of hours playing the game will make a decent amount of currency.

However, there is still an efficient way to get tons of currency with little effort – buying PoE currency at MmoGah. With years of experience selling PoE goods, MmoGah is players' go-to place to buy safe and cheap PoE currency and PoE items. If you have any questions or concerns, we have customer representatives online 24/7, every single day.

WoW TBC Classic: Best Investments for Phase 2

There are 5 phases in TBC Classic, and each new phase will bring new raids and PvP season. Phase 1 is available now, and it brings Karazhan (10-person), Gruul's Lair (25-person), and Magtheridon's Lair (25-person) raids, as well as 8 dungeons. Phase 2 will bring two new raids: a Serpentshrine Cavern( SSC 25-person) and The Eye at Tempest Keep (25-person).

The release date of Phase 2 has not been officially announced, but based on the history of WoW Classic, we estimate it will kick off at the end of August or in early September.

The prices of some items and materials will go up in Phase 2, so you can buy some of them now and sell them after Phase 2 comes out. Today MmoGah.com will share some important items or materials that you should invest in.

Iceguard Set

The important item I highlight here will be Iceguard set: Iceguard Breastplate, Iceguard Helm, and Iceguard Leggings. These items become handy when you fight the first boss - Hydross the Unstable in the new raid SSC. Meanwhile, your tank will take a lot of Thrust damage. If you have Resistance Gear, it will definitely improve your tanking. This boss requires players to have all sorts of different consumables. One of them is Frost and Nature resistance set, and you can create certain materials, such as Primal Fire, Primal Water, and Felsteel Bar, which are all needed for the Iceguard set.

In order to create the Iceguard set, you should have Frost Resistance. Now Hydross the Unstable's Water form is going to do a 5.5k Frost damage base as a melee attack. It cannot be blocked, so tanks will create this Iceguard set right, and once again, you'll need Primal Fire, Primal Water, and Felsteel Bar.

Major Frost Protection Potion

In order to craft these Major Frost Protection Potions, you are going to need Primal Water. You can also create a Cauldron of Major Frost Protection. Raid members can use it to conjure a Major Frost Protection Potion. It'll require two pieces of Primal Water in the case of the Frost Protection and take seven pieces of Mana Thistle & a Fel Iron Casing. Capitalize on this.

Windgurad Set

In order to create a Wildguard set, you will need Primal Life, Primal Shadow, and Felsteel bar once again, so you can see Felsteel bar is a common theme. This will probably be another really important investment as this item will definitely go up in value in Phase 2. New patterns will drop in Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep, such as Belt of Blasting, Belt of the Guardian, Boots of the Protector, Hurricane Boots, Red Havoc Boots, and Monsoon Belt. All of these items require Primals, which will be excellent investments. Most of the Primals are a bit expensive, and in case Blizzard removes some Layers, their prices will be higher as it will be more difficult to grind them.

Flask

Flask will also become more useful in Phase 2. The content of Phase 1 isn't difficult, but everything will become a little bit more difficult in Phase 2. All these Flasks share one thing in common: you will need Fel Lotus to craft them, so make sure to pay attention to its price.

The price of materials for making Flask of Distilled Wisdom will potentially go up because Arcane will become a really good spec for Mage in Phase 2, but when you play Arcane, you will need a huge Mana Pool. The good thing about this Flask is that Intellect gives you Spell Critical Strike Rating and Spell Damage, so make sure to pay attention to the prices of Black Lotus, Icecap, and Dreamfoil.

There are some new professions' items in two new raids, which are mainly Primals and some other stuff. Some items require Primal Fire & Primal Water, and other items need Primal Air, so their prices will rise. I’m not recommending you buy them right away, as their demand won’t stay this high all the time, so don’t spend all your WoW Classic TBC gold on the Primals. Wait until their prices start to go down.

Important Side Quests in FFXIV Level 50-80

If you are new to Final Fantasy XIV and leveled your first battle class to level 50 or above, then you can find helpful information about important side quests for level 50-80 here. If you are under level 50, check for Important Side Quests in FFXIV Level 1-50.

side quests 50-80 1

There are four things you need to know first:

  • If your character is at the current level, but you still can't see the quest, then check for your main story quest level. It needs to be at that level too, or beyond it.

  • If you don't know where to get the quest, you can copy the quest's name and check it on Gamer Escape. It will show you the NPC location and the rewards, typically including EXP, FF14 Gil, and/or items.

  • I will not mention things you automatically unlock from doing the main story quests or your class and job quests because they are your top priority.

  • Those quests are only for your first battle class, no crafting and gathering content because you can always get them later.

Heavensward

At level 50, when the main story takes you to the Heavensward city, you can then unlock the Heavensward's new jobs:

You can check your progress in the travel menu under Aether Currents.

lv70 Dungeons

At level 70, It is the same as Level 50 and 60, so there are many side Dungeons, Trials, and Raids too, but you can put them off till later. If you want to do some of them, I recommend Ivalice Raids storyline, which is for your Shadowbringer's relic weapon later. lv80 Dungeons

You are at max level now, so you can freely pick any of these side Dungeons, Trails, and Raids. If you don't know where to start, I suggest you start with Sorrow of Werlyt trials. It is available after completing Ruby Doomsday side quest. (The story is really good.)

There are two side dungeons you should do too because they are amazing.

  1. The Twinning Dungeon Access: Unlocked upon completion of By the Time You Hear This side quest.

Ronka Minion

Since you are at max level now, there is a level 70 side quest you should pick up, and it gives you a minion.

The Great Serpent of Ronka Minion: Received upon completion of Protectors of the Wood side quest. It can respond to certain emotes, but I am leaving it for you to test out what emotes it responds to.

In the end

I hope the information here can help you to safely reach the max level and save your time from doing all the side quests or prevent you from escaping important side quests.

Now you can do pretty much everything you feel like doing, such as crafting, gathering, fishing, or pick up the dungeons you have skipped.

If you feel like owning a house, then you can buy one! But if you are short on FFXIV Gil, I recommend you MmoGah to buy safe and fast FFXIV Gil. If you want to play other classes/jobs but don't want to go through all the leveling again, just so you know, they also provide FFXIV Power Leveling. You can bookmark MmoGah for your future needs.
