How to Catch Up with Gear, Renown, Legendaries in WoW Shadowlands

Whether you've been hard at work, or you swapped characters entirely so that you have to start all over again, getting left behind in World of Warcraft is never fun. Today’s video is from Kelani, he shared some tips of what you can do to help catch your characters up to everyone else and which systems let you get there a bit faster.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQrIC1l50NI

Renown

Firstly, one of the easiest things to catch up with in Shadowlands is Renown.

image

If you are behind in Renown, you can earn extra Renown from almost any type of max level content. Your daily callings are one of the most reliable sources because they will tell you if they're going to reward a Renown or not. Just look at the calling rewards when you pick it up. Sometimes they will have Renown as an extra reward, sometimes not. So be sure to check your callings each day to see if the new one will help you catch up.

Completing a dungeon has a chance to reward Renown. The World Boss each week will give you a Renown. Taking part in battlegrounds can sometimes reward Renown. If you are doing anything to progress at max level, chances are you're going to get some extra Renown just by playing. Callings and dungeons seem to be the best bet for catching up quickly.

As you zoom through the early Renown levels, you will unlock more Campaign Quests as well, which will reward Renown. So be sure to work through them as they become available to keep caught up. The maximum Renown you can earn from these extra sources depends on the current max available Renown. So if a player who's kept up with Renown and has Renowned level 21, that's the max for that week. The level you can get to with this speedy catch up is that max level minus 2. This is because you have two weekly quests that reward Renown and also minus one for each Campaign Quest you haven't completed that is available at the max level Renown.

If you want to catch up in one week, you should not hand in your two weekly Renowned quests from your Covenant until you've finished every available campaign chapter and have earned enough extra Renown from callings or dungeons and other sources to reach the current cap minus two.

If you are leveling an alt and trying to get them caught up, you can actually earn four Renown while leveling if you choose the Threads of Fate leveling path. Each zone has a big quest that rewards a huge chunk of experience and one renown in a follow-up quest after you complete it. Every single thing you do relating to a zone including completing quests, World Quests, bonus objectives and even running dungeons will give you progress towards these quests. So by the time you hit level 60, you should have finished a couple of them at least, which is just a quick boost of Renown to get you going and then you can catch up with the other sources listed above.

Not every part of your Covenant Sanctum has a catch-up mechanic though. When it comes to farming for anima to fuel your Sanctum upgrades, you don't really have any way to speed things up. So you will likely be behind in anime and therefore Sanctum upgrades for a while.

One of the weekly quests for your Covenant is to recover souls from the Maw. This starts off rewarding you with five redeemed souls per week. Redeemed souls are needed to upgrade your Sanctum as well as anima. This quest is the only source of redeemed souls and there is no real catch up to earn any more. So redeemed souls will likely be your major bottleneck here and the only way you can really try to catch up to that is making sure you complete this soul quest every single week.

It is worth noting that because the max available Renown level has now passed 20. Getting to 15 can be incredibly quick by using some of the Renown catch up we talked about earlier. Renown level 15 is very important because when you hit that milestone, the quest to recover souls starts to reward 10 redeemed souls instead of just 5. So if you get to Renown 15 quickly, you will actually start earning double redeemed souls to help you catch up even faster.

Gear

Another aspect of every character that every player will want to get caught up with is gear. Gearing up in Shadowlands is significantly slower when compared to previous expansions. So naturally catching up is going to be a bit slower as well.

The good news is we do have a few options to speed things along. If you haven't managed to get up above item level 170 yet, then take another look at the Auction House. This will obviously cost you gold but it's much faster than plodding through dungeons and hoping for some lucky drops. Now that the expansion has been out for a while, you should be able to pick up item level 168 crafted gear from other players or from the Auction House. This will typically be a bit more expensive than the earlier crafted gear, but if you have some gold to spare, it can save you a lot of time in gearing up.

Apart from buying yourself a few item levels, you have to jump on the same gear treadmill as everyone else. There really isn't too much you can do to speed it up. I strongly suggest you get at least one mythic+ Keystone done every week. This will provide you with at least one item in your weekly Vault, which will nearly always be an upgrade for you. I would try to do as much content as possible to fill out the other choices in your weekly vault, such as killing raid bosses and taking part in rated PvP. More choices means you have a higher chance of getting an item that is an actual upgrade and therefore not wasting that weekly loot. So anything you can do to increase the odds here is going to be incredibly valuable because the item level of weekly Vault rewards are typically higher than the content you're running or at the very least the same item level. It should provide some great rewards week after week. Outside of that you just need to run higher mythic+ keys or take part in normal or heroic raiding to get the big gear upgrades.

Now if you are really struggling to gear up your characters, I would recommend hopping into some battlegrounds. Whether you win or lose a battleground, you'll be earning honor. You can head to the PvP vendors in Oribos and straight up buy some gear with your honor currency, while the gear does start off relatively low at just item level 158. The great thing about honor gear is you can upgrade it with more honor, so if you earn enough honor you can keep upgrading your PvP gear until it gets to item level 197. The only restriction on upgrading this is your Renown level, so if you grind out enough honor and you get caught up with Renown, you can work towards item level 197 gear by just doing battlegrounds. You can use this to completely gear up your character or just to help fill in some of the lower slots you might have. The same goes for the conquest vendor. If you venture into rated PvP and earn enough conquest to buy that gear, that's a relatively easy way to get item level 200 pieces of loot. Upgrading these ones relies on racing, so that might be a bit too involved for a lot of players.

Ledendary

Another very important part of gearing up progression is crafting and upgrading a Legendary. To do this you're going to need soul ash. Sadly this is one system that doesn't really have any major catch-up mechanics. The maximum soul ash you can get from Torghast is 1140 per week. You can get that if you clear both available Wings of Torghast on the highest difficulty, which is layer 8. That's the only major reliable source of soul ash. So if you're behind in this specific category, there isn't really anything you can do to go faster. Just make sure to clear Torghast on the highest layer you can each week, preferably in both Wings and you'll be earning a good amount of soul ash to help craft and upgrade to Legendaries.

There is one thing you can catch up with relating to soul ash. The story quests that you get from Bolvar to go into Torghast to find our captured allies used to have a weekly limitation on them - one set of quests per week. Now that all of the quests have become available, the Dev Team has also lifted some of the weekly restrictions for working through them. So instead of only being able to complete one story quest per week, you should be able to continue the story without the weekly time gating. Most story quests reward you with a good chunk of soul ash and the total you can acquire from completing all of these story quests is 900 soul ash. That's almost enough to craft your very first Legendary. So if you complete all of the quests that Bolvar gives you and you can go through the entire storyline, that will give you a quick boost of solace to get your Legendaries rolling.

That should be all you need to help get your characters all caught up with the major systems and features in the Shadowlands expansion. There is still some time to catch up before Shadowlands 9.1 hits. Or you can buy Gold WoW directly on MmoGah with cheap price. We are also a website where you can find many useful Shadowlands guides. Is WoW Classic Worth Playing

Recently, many wow classic fans are discussing these questions:

Should I play wow classic now?

Is it too late to start wow classic?

Is wow classic worth playing?

Is wow classic still popular?

Is it worth starting classic wow?

Well, if you are trying to figure out that whether World of Warcraft is worth playing or not, then the answer you'll get here is almost certainly!

WoW Classic is a great leveling game, which makes it a great way to kill time. It just feels fun to level and gets new talents, abilities, better gear and etc. So if you don't like Retail, Classic is worth your time to bother with, and you'd rather play in your spare time.
Classic wow took us back to simpler times for a whole generation, and its true magic is found in encouraging dynamic player interactions, an active world, an amazing community, challenging quests, and accountability from players. That's why it is still popular now.

It is never too late to get into classic wow. It will take you a few weeks to reach 60 and farm up some pre-bis items for more serious raiding. You can join wow classic AQ20 or ZG groups for some quick loot. It’s an excellent time to start fresh, and you can really invest much time into it.

Here MmoGah.com would like to share the reasons why wow classic is worth playing.

Some content of this article is quoted from a player WillE’s video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK71bRxFICA

Let's kick it off with the positives tbc is very likely to be a thing, and I would expect it to be announced at Blizzcon 2021, which is in February. Our current servers will be progressive just as they were back in vanilla, so you should be able to continue on with your character once again. Now it is a good time to sort yourself out that you should have a character of level 58 to be able to get through the dark portal on tbc release date. Maybe you've heard a lot of good things about tbc that there are many improvements, or you just started playing back then. That's your favorite expansion, and you can get some wow classic gold ready to jump into the tbc. Get yourself set up with bags. Pick your professions and classes you'd like to have. Maybe you can put enough away to get a flying mount at level 70.

I think the whole world will be incredibly active for a very long time post-launch. On top of this assuming progressive servers, you should look into what kind of server may fit you best at the start of classic.

Here's a warlock I was leveling on the horde side just for the sake of completionist for companion pets and cooking recipes. Anyway, without going out of my way to grind classic wow gold at all. I just have mining and skinning leveling as I normally would I'm level 36 with 82 gold. I could have 500 to 600 gold by 60 or somewhere around that mark which is only a couple of hours grind from your epic mount. I'd recommend trying to pick it up before tbc, because even if you save enough gold for flying and you still have to level all the way to 70 before you'll be able to use it. Epic mounts are just a great investment.

If you're on a server that you perhaps started with your friends, and you might not really have a reason to be there anymore because they stopped playing a story. I heard that it could be a good time to transfer to a brighter prospect in the future. If you have a sub running at all at the moment. Don't forget you can log into a server that you think fits you. Do a slash shoe in leveling zones in dungeons, just ask in the general chat, try to google a server discord, and engage the popularity for yourself.

I was considering a new server and finding groups leveling. In my experience, it has changed over time. I think on pvp servers, there is far more boosting, whereas on pve RP or even RP pvp. There are much more players leveling normally and forming groups. I believe there's a larger population of hardcore players who gravitate towards pvp. The game is the end game now, so the journey to get to 60 which has led to this kind of thing, so you should be aware of that if you enjoy doing dungeons and a lot of group stuff while leveling.

If you are level 47 and you're coming back now. You're gonna to have a real grind ahead of you or just have friends in the right places that can help a lot as well. If your guild still doing classic wow AQ40 for the nature stuff and frost resist for saffron your consumables, it's all gonna be pretty gold intensive for an upcoming player. If you are mega keen on seeing knacks, the best way to go would be to join a server discord. On the subject of getting back into raids, it certainly helps if you are a class slash spec that is in high demand. Coming back now is enhancement.

It's not entirely as positive of an outlook as it was back in February, a lot of the big end game goals for raiding high-level pvp, which still require a lot of grinds to catch up to. There are still a good number of reasons to give classic a try. If you love that expansion more, so classic maybe the correct time to prepare your character for that. I personally still find leveling rewarding at any point in time. Dungeon groups are still going as well. It just varies a bit from server to server. The pop scene for 20 men's modern core is basically gonna be a thing up until tbc releases. If you ever wanted a taste of 40 man raids or just the end game at the entry-level, it's very accessible getting into pvp will be harder now.

Naxxramas gear is just insane for the majority of classes. At this point, TBC is going to complete off the charts and raiding some ceramics that will need some real grind. If you don't reach level 60 yet between playing an in-demand class, farming your consumables, farming your resist gear, and just finding a solid guild in general. That is capable of seeing the raid. I strongly believe blizzard will keep some version of classic servers around or perhaps even have fresh servers, so don't let this totally demotivate you. I hope that helped you make your decision.

PoE 3.13 Builds: Barrage Deadeye – Tornado Shot Build

Dear exiles, the new league Ritual has been underway for a week, and many players have good responses. Today the professional PoE Shop will share RattoSexy's Deadeye build with you, which is very hot and useful for the Ritual league.

image

Pros and Cons

+ Very cheap (less than 1 Exalted Orb is enough)

+ Great clear speed

+ Fast

+ You will not feel alone (thanks to mirage archers)

+ Very good life leech

- No reflect maps

- Can do no leech maps

- Squishy

- You will need to get used to dodging most of the stuff

Mechanics

- For bossing, we use the new mirage archer ascendancy on a barrage gem setup. I tried it, and it boosts our damage by a lot. If we want to be a lot more tanky, we can use the windward ascendency, losing damage but boosting our effective life pool by a lot!

- Since we are using point black and chin sol, we need to stay close to bosses to deal serious damage. This can be a risk, so you'll need some practice to evade most lethal attacks.

- We are running a Phys to cold conversion build with some cold gains, so the more cold gains we can get, the best the build gets!

- We are running Vaal pact to have no life regen, so we need to be always in the fight. Also, if we are running labyrinths, the ryslatha minor pantheon can be useful.

Bandits

Kill them all. The 2 passives skills points are just too good.

Pantheon

Major: Lunaris, since we are an evasion/dodge build, the buffs that it grants are the best we can obtain.

Minor: Ryslsatha for the life flask regen, we are using Vaal pact, and having the life flask always up will save our ass a lot.

Ascendancy

Ricochet -> Endless Munitions -> Gathering Winds -> Occupying Force/Wind Ward

Gear

The gear shown is only for the cheaper version of the build. Go to the POB to see the expensive one.

Bow:

We'll use the chin sol, as it is very cheap and works well with point-blank.

Quiver:

Asphyxia's wrath costs almost nothing, and the gain of cold damage is just too good.

Gloves:

The Hrimsorrow are needed to convert our physical damage into cold damage.

Helmet:

Starkonja's is the way to go, cheap, gives many good stats, and is cheap.

Body Armour:

Either a 6L or a tabula rasa will be good if you can go for the 6L.

For rings, boots, amulet, and belt, try to get some decent rares with:

Life – resistances – cold damage – increased elemental damage.

(On boots, try to get at least 30% movement speed)

Flasks:

A life flask with immunity to bleed and instant recovery

A quicksilver flask with increased effect and immunity to freeze

A diamond flask with immunity to curses

A taste of hate

An atziri's promise

Gems

Tornado Shot

Tornado shot – Added Cold Damage – Hypothermia – chain support – Inspiration support – Elemental damage with attacks

Barrage

Barrage – Added Cold Damage – Hypothermia – Mirage archer/Faster Attacks –Inspiration support – Elemental damage with attacks

Aura

Hatred – Herald of ice – Precision – Enlighten

Debuff/Movement

Wave of conviction – sniper's mark-dash – second wind support

Anointment

Freedom of movement is cheap and gives us the possibility to gain phasing.

Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas and Ritual League

Dear Exiles, exciting news! The new league will come next week. This release contains everything you've come to expect from a Path of Exile expansion release: a new challenge league, new skills, new items, metagame rebalances, and an endgame content update that will leave a lasting impact on Path of Exile.

image

Echoes of the Atlas

The Echoes of the Atlas expansion introduces a new pinnacle boss, a new way to fight many map bosses simultaneously, eleven new maps to explore, and new endgame rewards to earn!

You'll first encounter the new boss Maven in the boss arena of a map, where she will make the boss encounter more difficult, and watch as you do your best to defeat it. If you're successful, she'll give you her beacon, which lets you call her to any map in that region so that she can watch more fights. After showing her your boss-killing prowess, she will give you an Invitation to her realm, where she has prepared a special challenge. The Maven wants to push you to your limits and has fabricated copies of the bosses she watched your defeat. Except for this time, she wants to watch more and tougher fights, and her next challenge will contain four bosses. Then five, then six, and finally, ten. Completing the Maven's challenges offers the opportunity to acquire some powerful new rewards, including Atlas Passive Skill Points, craftable Watchstones, and even The Maven's Orb.

1. Atlas Passive Tree

You'll earn a new type of passive skill point that can be allocated on a special passive skill tree in that region of the Atlas of Worlds as you complete the Maven's Challenges. Each of the Atlas regions has its passive tree, and they generally have around 20 nodes to choose from.

2. Craftable Watchstones

Watchstones are an endgame item placed in the Atlas of Worlds to upgrade a region's map tiers and add new base maps to that region. Unique Ivory Watchstones provide special bonuses and can be traded. These unique ones are consumed after many maps are run. The Atlas expansion's Echoes introduces three new types of craftable Watchstones - Titanium, Chromium, and Platinum. The eventual goal is to replace all of your base quest item Watchstones with the new craftable ones over time as you upgrade your Atlas. Each of these three types of new watchstone has its special mod pool, but there's also a shared mod pool that they all draw from. You can't find or craft rare Watchstones. When combined with the Atlas Passive Trees, you can optimize what content you encounter and the rewards from that content.

3. The Maven's Orb

The Maven's Orb is an endgame crafting PoE Currency that can only drop from The Maven herself. When we apply a Maven's Orb to it, it randomly removes one of these mods and upgrades the other to become an elevated influence mod. In this case, it upgraded the increased intelligence mod to have +1 to socketed intelligence gems. The other influence mod was removed. Maven's Orb crafting is only going to be performed by the upper echelons of elite players and pushes the boundaries of the best possible PoE Items in Path of Exile.

4. Eleven New Maps

In Echoes of the Atlas, GGG has added eleven new types of maps to the Atlas of Worlds, covering a wide variety of environments. And, of course, each comes with its challenging boss fight. One of the reasons these new maps look so good is that the environment art, tileset, and level design teams working on them have been doing so much work on Path of Exile 2 recently.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64ZgB6qHJmc&feature=youtu.be

Ritual Challenge League

"What drives you, Exile? Is it justice? Revenge? Honour? No. It is power. We felt your deeds, felt their shockwaves ripple through the void. You have our attention. Now you must keep it. Your limits will be tested. Break them. Do what is thought impossible. And the Atlas will follow. The stars themselves will bear silent witness. How far will you bend before you break?"

Whenever GGG releases a new quarterly Path of Exile update, they start a new Challenge League. The challenge league being released alongside Echoes of the Atlas is the Ritual League.

1. Improved Ascendancy Classes

Path of Exile has nineteen Ascendancy classes, which let you specialize your character further than the base character classes allow. In this expansion, every one of these nineteen classes are rebalanced and have significantly reworked three of them: The Elementalist, the Inquisitor, and the Deadeye. These changes aim to redistribute and simplify power so that Ascendancy passive skills perform stronger single functions more effectively.

2. New Skill Gems

Like improving Ascendancy classes, adding new skill and support gems to Path of Exile helps create new ways to play. In Echoes of the Atlas, there are two new gems that provide versatile ways for you to build powerful new characters.

3. New Unique Items

Unlike most items you find in Path of Exile that is randomly generated, unique items are extremely rare. Our design team has hand-created to offer new build opportunities. Echoes of the Atlas introduces ten new unique items, some exclusive to its new endgame encounters.

Harvest Returns

This expansion contains two such leagues – Harvest and Heist. In Echoes of the Atlas, as you play through maps, you'll now encounter a portal to the Sacred Grove rather than finding a seed cache. But it's not your Sacred Grove. It's an established one with a full complement of plants ready to harvest, fight and craft with. If you're strong enough to kill the monsters, each grove represents quite a lot of crafting opportunities, and you can save up to ten crafts for later use at the Horticrafting Station, which is now available in your hideout.

Heist Returns

In the Heist, players travel to the rogue harbour to hire a thief crew to help them plan and execute risky heists, working towards a thief's ultimate goal - pulling off a Grand Heist. Rogues level up their skills faster from completing Heists, Markers drop with larger stack sizes, and Quest contracts are now dropped for you at the next smuggler's cache as soon as that quest is available.

Here is the end of the new event. You can come to the Professional Gaming Shop MmoGah to Buy PoE Orbs to enhance your character. Have fun next week!

The Future of WoW Classic

Recently a lot of wow classic players are discussing the future of wow classic: wow classic tbc beta, release and transfer methods.

Today we are going to share some predictions on the future of World of Warcraft classic. Welcome to MadSeasonShows video guide. An analysis, commentary and some predictions on the future of classic wow including The Burning Crusade Classic, Fresh Vanilla and Non-fresh Vanilla. All the content of this article is quoted from his video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otW6Ahn4MI0

Lots of news in the realm of classic recently starting off. We have some unconfirmed leaks regarding burning crusade. I wanted to mention this first because it's the most recent big news that most of you are probably interested in TBC Classic Beta in Mid-February, and Blizzcon is online this year on February 19th, so if the leaks are true, it's probably an announcement plus the launch shortly. After that 2.0.1 Prepatch will be released on Mid-April, this is when we got the new talents, new honor system and where everybody could buy any pvp gear class balance and all sorts of stuff, because it's unconfirmed, I don't go too crazy with that video by staysafe who originally broke the news along with Nano who worked on nostalrius.

I want to talk about here is the future of classic in general and how we'll transition to bc, because there are a ton of questions and no answers, but we can draw some logical conclusions. As you know we recently had some interesting surveys about not only tbc classic, but also even fresh vanilla classic.

Would you play fresh?

Would you play bc?

What's your interest in each of these?

We also had some surveys regarding the transfer methods from vanilla to bc, so in this video you can learn them. I'm also mimicking all survey questions, and use the community information to get an idea of what Blizzard will do, so share them with everyone.

Right now Naxxramas is out and there's no more new content. Once you kill Kel'thuzad, you've cleared the hardest raid in the game. What will happen to the player base is the game by itself enough to carry an active population to catch up.

Blizzard had started sending out some surveys for bc classic in March, 2020, and it was just a wait-and-see game. No one really knew what the future held, but those questions combined with some interviews all, and it confirms the recreation of the game's first expansion.

Fresh Vanilla

I want to talk about Fresh Vanilla firstly, since that's the new development in the background even back during phase one launch of classic. There's been talking about the fresh server from the community as the name implies new servers starting from phase one are launched, no transfers of any kind. Molten core & Onyxia are the only 40 man's unlocked raid, and the game goes through the same or similar phasing schedule that it went through from August 2019 to today. This is what we got for questions in the survey.  Not only players are interested in phase one, but also original server and classic burning crusade, so obviously here they're trying to gauge interest on how the community will split up. When all of this stuff is released, I'm pretty in touch with the community. These days I always have my ears to the ground again. I'll have these polls for you to vote on, but I think most people are leaning towards bc classic right now for a few reasons.

Reason 1

Although it's not really new obviously since it was released 14 years ago, it's new in the classic scene and a new expansion with updated balance, more raids and new features  such as arena, two new races, new zones professions. I think in general it's more appealing to somebody who's already played classic vanilla, even though both options are really appealing, especially if they fix a lot of the stuff in vanilla classic. I think overall there's more interest in bc and I can guess that's the way the poll is going to go.

Reason 2

Although there are a lot of people who want to start fresh, there's also a lot of people who want to continue their characters. People are worried that all of the hard work, they put into their characters will be for naught. What will happen for their guild and communities? Classic players don't really like change if you haven't noticed it yet, so there are a lot of people who want to keep their next gear, ranking 14 titles, classic wow gold and so on into the outland.

Reason 3

Although I'm not too invested into the private server scene here, from my understanding the burning crusade is much less explored than vanilla, and the order of popularity follows the original expansion release, so tons of vanilla servers and a few bc servers are less wrath, including bfa for those who really loved island expeditions.

I guess no judgments, so I want to say bc is less salt than vanilla or at least not as many people have played bc original launch due to this increased scarcity. I think that both bc and fresh would be quite successful. Burning crusade is pretty obvious and doesn't really need an explanation. It's the natural progression of the future of classic. As for fresh servers, we have the private server seen as proof. It's been going on for over a decade and its longevity is based around perpetual fresh starts when the servers shut down woefully or get shut down by blizzard. There's always a new one to take their place and that's been going on since 2007 even when vanilla originally ended.

Although I think it really gained steam around the cataclysm era when blizzard removed the old world, so in summary I think bc classic will come out, and it'll be very successful. Fresh classic will come out, and it'll be very successful.

How to Transfer from Vanilla to BC

I want to talk about the transfer methods from vanilla to BC. If you remember that old survey back in March: they pulled people of four different ways into moving into the expansion.

1. Start a brand new character from Level 1 on a new Burning Crusade server

2. Start a brand new character from Level 58 on a new Burning Crusade server

3. All existing servers transfer to burning crusade, and you have the option of transferring off to permanent (non-fresh) 60 cap vanilla servers

4. All existing servers stay capped at 60 vanilla servers, and you have the option of transferring off to new servers that progress to the burning crusade.

Everybody can vote on this, so we can get an idea of what blizzard is looking at, but first let me cover them each and each method has their good sides and downsides.

Let's start with Option 1 which is fresh level 1 positives. That is a fresh start, the idea of starting fresh is appealing to a lot of people. Some people ask: is it too late to start classic, regardless of the game people don't like starting it when everybody else is way ahead of them, classic case fullness rammus gear, a ton of wow classic gold and so on. Sure they can get gear fast, my guild disenchants, and quite a lot of AQ gear at this point.

I think the major issue is that people don't necessarily want to be fast tracked unless they're a streamer.

The normal person just wants a fresh and even start day one with everyone else. That's the major poll of fresh one servers. The economies are in shambles due to blizzard's poor policing of botting and multi-boxing are reset specifically regarding multi-boxing. That's banned now, so fresh servers would have a better economy for that alone.

Now just how many people would actually go back remains to be seen that's the purpose of the survey questions but the door remains open with this method, and this leads me to the downsides.

The downside 1 is that although the door is open again, we dont know how many people will go through it. The characters are still there on the server, but my prediction is that the average player is going to play on a fresh new bc server over a game. It's an additional server at some points, so having these fresh servers from one server, offering no solution to the threat of all of the servers.

The downside 2 is the yang to positive one starting from scratch can be as bad as it is good. I'm sure not everybody wants to start from level one, and they want to take their characters with all of their gear and items and gold pvp titles into bc, so this would be a forced restart for everyone which would definitely cause some controversy.

The downside 3 is subjective, that's the fact that this obviously isn't how we transferred to bc back in 07. The way it worked is that bc came out and every server forcibly progressed, so the idea is that this option goes against no changes.

If you're curious but moving on to Option 2: from Level 58. This shares all of the positives and negatives of method one instead an additional positive is that at least you don't have to level again, you wouldn't take your gear vanilla wow gold or other items but at least you don't need to level. The downside is that you don't need to level, and just completely kills the old world. Although it's not specified, I'm assuming it's only a one-time thing and you can't spam 58s. If that were the case, that would be super broken. Because you could spam transmute alts and make primal mites spell cloth, and other similar items completely worthless, but if it's just at level 58, there are plenty of people focus on one character, they have just one level 60 because that's all they have time for, so this method would result in 90% of the eastern kingdoms and kalimdor to be completely abandoned, which is just plain unhealthy the expansion. Of course you can focus on the outland but vanilla is still a huge part of the game. A big draw of MMOs is that online sprawling world and everywhere you go, there's something going on. I just think that 95% of the population being loaded directly into these seven zones into the outland would be plain wrong, because we're playing the world of warcraft, not the world of outland.

Option 3: the first positive point is that a lot of people don't think about. In my opinion because it's sort of hidden in plain sight, and this is the best option for combating against servers. With this method, the population of all of the servers we have right now maintains into bc, assuming that my prediction of most players moving forward to bc is correct. That's really important and blizzard can make an amount of permanent non-fresh 60 servers appropriate to the people who would play permanent non-fresh 60 servers and as long as they don't make too many, these servers would actually have enough people to support. The people could find guilds, run raids and all that good stuff, it wouldn't maintain the non-fresh communities but it wouldn't maintain the non-fresh population relative to the amount of servers they end up.

The second positive point is that this maintain established communities for those who want to move into bc again. Most people who want to play vanilla forever will do that through fresh servers where they just keep restarting over and over, and they always have something to work towards, so this option will be the most healthy and maintaining the current server communities, so you would see the same people and same guild that you see.

The third positive point is that you keep your actual character that you leveled and Geared pretty self-explanatory, and you no need to reset progress.

Option 4: we have all servers stay vanilla and you have the option to transfer to burning crusade. I think the only upside is that if people choose to stay non-fresh vanilla, your community remains intact but if people choose to play vanilla forever, they're going to roll in fresh anyways. One of the survey question asks for where players will spend their most time with non-fresh 60? It isn't even listed as an option. I think that all of these servers would be leached from both fresh and bc servers, so you're having all of these original servers that have a high potential of just dying as the population migrates away, so I think this is the best option.

People keep their characters communities remain relatively intact and most importantly as opposed to the other three options, this is the method that best combats servers dying.  We have now theoretically would remain relatively the same and for what I predict to be a small percentage of the people who want to play forever on the non-fresh 60 lock servers. Blizzard can make a few of those and retain a healthy population, this option I think would be the healthiest for bc, fresh and non-fresh. Personally I will vote for this and I also predict that's what blizzard will do, because I think it's the safest option and they usually go with the safe choice.
